Desde Helsinki, Finlandia, Patteri (21), Miki (19), Janne (20) y Joni (25) me dejan K.O con su sonido, y es probable que a vosotrxs también os ocurra. Es ya bien sabido que Finlandia siempre nos ha regalado buenas bandas, y con ésta tenemos un buen ejemplo, formada en el 2007 por cuatro jóvenes dispuestos a dar guerra...
*Why did you started in this band?
We started Sotavamma in year 2007... when we first had a band called Lopun alku Patteri (guitar/vocals) Janne (drums) Jape (bass). Lopun alku split up cause Jape werent interested of playing punk anymore. Same time Janne had another band called Ohjuskammo where Janne played drums also. Miki guitar, Sponge bass, and Bill was their vocalist. Ohjuskammo was not good band at all. We started to think make a new band which has two guitar players (Patteri and Miki) and other idea of having two vocalists (Bill and Patteri). Bill got tired of playing anymore, he was more interested about cannabis. So now we had a new party of punks who wanted to make it harcore. We wanted to play kickass stuff! Thats why.
*Why did you choose Hardcore and which are your aims?
We wanted to start playing hardcore, cause it has cojones and we all have big balls.

*Which are your favourite bands? I’ve read that alcohol is one that have influence on you, what do you like more, beers? Vodka? Whisky perhaps? (hahaha)
We all have a bit different kind of taste with music we like, so I'm not going to make a list. But perhaps Motörhead and 82'hardcore bands! We all like whisky, vodka and beers. But the old and reliably kilju makes us all happy. (Kilju=homebreew)

*Explain me what means “Sotavamma” and why did you select that name?
Sotavamma means war injury. At the fall of year 2007 Patteri had drinked alcohol over his limits for about half a year and needed to go to hospital because he was in a really bad shape. After a week Patteri got out from the hospital. We went all watch a gig in tavastia club. And I discovered that our bands name can be sotavamma because after all that drinking, my liver kind of get a war injury.
*What do you think about international Hardcore? Is the Finnish one the best or not?
Well what can I say... There's a lot of great hardcorebands and lot of bands which ar crap.
*Which are the topics that you use for your music? Politics, police, government...
It's guite much political yes. But we talk about people too and about getting drunk and just having fun.
*Do you remember your first concert? How was it?
Our first concert was in bar Factory. We accidentally played the whole gig during the soundcheck and ended up playing two gigs but it was lot of fun and we played good gig.
*Which scene do you prefer, Finnish 80’s scene or nowadays one?
Scenes are for little children.
*Can we find Hardcore girls or boys in Finland? Or...Being Hardcore is the new fashion? (here happens...)
Of course you can. Bad thing is that theres allways some poser idiots.
*When people tryed to pick up you more, before beeing in a band or now that they now you are in one? (hahahaha, that is the new phenomenon that happens in Spain, unfortunately...)
Well I have noticed that we get more attention nowdays than before.

...Vegetarians (is it a new fashion too?)? hmph... For some people maybe yes.
... Band like Blink 182 or Offspring? Blink 182 is shit. I personally like Offsprings music it's fun.
...New generation, educational system and the future. New generation is not better than last one. Educational system want to make people trained for obeing laws an live how they are told to. And theres no future, haha.
*Do you know Spanish bands? Which ones?
Ursus, Totälickers, Ska-p and there are some bands which names I cant just get in my head at the moment.
